Kathmandu. Charles Sobraj, who was released from Nepal's prison, has been sent to his home country of France on Friday so that he will not be able to return to Nepal for 10 years, the Immigration Department has informed.
According to the decision of the Nepal government, the director general of the exhibition, Kumari, said that she was expelled so that she could not come to Nepal for 10 years. It is said that he was sent to Doha at 6 pm. He is expected to reach Paris from Doha on Saturday. However, the immigration officials did not reveal which flight he was sent through.
In an interview with AFP before flying out of Kathmandu, he said he was happy to leave. I have a lot to do. I have to sue many people, including the state of Nepal, he said while sitting on the seat in the plane. According to the Immigration Department, after the French Embassy in Kathmandu issued the necessary 'travel document' for Sobraj's journey, he was sent home on Friday.
In 1975, he was tried separately on charges of murdering two foreign nationals and using fake passports. He was found guilty of all. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for the crime of murder. On Wednesday, the Supreme Court ordered the release of Sobraj and his return to the country within 15 days, stating that ninety-five percent of the imprisonment has been paid and that he is suffering from heart disease.
